NETGEN is now able to read in IGES and STEP files created by third party modelling software. This is due to integration of the OpenCascade open source geometry kernel.

NETGEN is a mesh-handling tool. It can provide this functionality to a Finite Element/Finite Volume/Boundary Element numerical library to build an adaptive multigrid PDE solver for more or less general geometries. The interface is specified by the relatively small C - Header file nginterface.h.
